The film, television, and media studies program delves into the historical, theoretical, and cultural aspects of films and other forms of media. Coursework focuses on the scholarly, academic study of films and media from the past through the present day. Through your studies, you’ll write about and analyze the works you're seeing. You’ll discover how filmmakers and creators use their projects to express their personal views and as tools for interpreting the world. At the same time, you’ll also learn how various forms of media influence our perceptions and beliefs about all kinds of topics, such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and class.
